The representative of PLAMOTAH, Deurne Jean Charles highlighted some positive points noted in the question of motorcycle taxi in Port-au-Prince including the possession of a driver's license by the majority of drivers who also hold insurance and the license plate. Also, he said that only a total of 755 motorcycle taxi drivers are registered for this project. He took the opportunity to announce that starting in February; sanctions will be taken against the violators of these measures.
At the end of this project, this morning, several motorcycle taxi drivers were registered ... They were given a reflective vest (red) containing a number, a label with the same number they will affix on their helmet as well as a card to prove their affiliation to the platform, among others.
The PNH and most of the town halls in the metropolitan area are at their umpteenth level as regards the regularization of motorcycle taxis circulating in Port-au-Prince and its surroundings. Will this pilot project succeed in delivering the expected results?
