Vest and triangle: what rules for road safety

Napsal stebenda.blogerka.cz (») 6. 3. 2018 v kategorii high visibility vest, přečteno: 581×

Since 2008, the regulation imposes the presence in every vehicle of a fluorescent safety vest (to the CE standard) and a warning triangle (to the standard E 27R). Failure to comply with these obligations is punishable by a fine of 135 Euros.

• Remember that in case of emergency immobilization the safety vest must be worn by the driver before leaving the vehicle, night and day, regardless of visibility conditions.

The reflective vest must be easily accessible in the passenger compartment of the vehicle (eg in the glove box, under the seat). Thus, it cannot be housed in the trunk of the vehicle.

• This obligation does not apply to the passengers of the vehicle.

Concerning the triangle, it must be placed at a distance of at least 30 meters from the vehicle or the obstacle to be signaled to other users.

• Note that the triangle is not obligatory when it poses an endangering of the driver's life (for example on the emergency stop band). Hazard warning lights remain mandatory when the car is equipped with them.

• Finally, note that you can only be verbalized once, even if you do not have the high visibility vest or triangle.
