Police officers from the Silesian highway took to the pedestrians, who after dark in the undeveloped area have no glare. On Thursday evening the inhabitants of the Zawierci district were convinced of it. Similar actions will be carried out also in other places. Three patrols in the area checked whether the pedestrians knew the rules. - Such actions are very important, because many pedestrians forget the glare. Accidents involving pedestrians are very common. In nine months, as many as 56 pedestrians were killed on the roads. In 2014 it were 68 people - says suborns. - This is a provincial action. Similar activities are planned - he adds.
Recall that since 31st of August 2014 pedestrians are obliged to wear after dark in the area undeveloped reflective elements. People often forget about it. In just two hours of action in the county of Zawierci patrol stopped three people. Everyone said they did not wear reflective because they only left for a while. "I have no glare because I rarely go to this time," one of the women stopped by the police patrol. Each of these people was visible only a few meters away. Reflections provide visibility of the pedestrian from a few dozen meters. Police officers were ruthless and consistently punished pedestrians with mandates. Recall that the mandate for no glare is a minimum of 50 gold. The cost of the glare is about 7 zlotys. On Thursday, policemen also handed out vests and reflective bands.
