"Driver, show me the mandatory equipment." With these words by law enforcement, a number of drivers are fading because they have no idea where the necessary elements of the mandatory reflective equipment in the car are being kept, let alone all the mandatory equipment. What not everyone can miss in the car is laid down in Decree 341/2014 Coll. and you will certainly be able to resolve unplanned expenses for its breach. There is a fine of 2,000 crowns, but just enough and you have peace.
In the mandatory equipment of the car, there must be no spare fuses (you should have one spare each), replacement bulbs (replaceable replaceable power supply of any kind), spare wheel or kit for tire glue, jack, wheel nut, reflective safety vest, warning triangle and a valid first aid kit. In connection with bulbs, the question arises as to what to do if a xenon or diode source leaves you. The Decree does not specify any procedure, but at the same time, you cannot go with a non-functional illumination. The solution is perhaps just an assistance service...
You may think that mandatory car equipment may not be sufficient in every situation and it would be appropriate to extend it. This is of course possible, offering features such as a portable torch. In the best case a headlamp that leaves your hands free, a basic tool, the so-called multirole, which in a small "package" even more than ten keys, starter cables, working gloves, a sufficient supply of liquids and energy-consuming foods (such as energy sticks), a fire extinguisher, distilled water or a small fuel canister. You never know when you can use these elements!
It is also good to think about where you place your equipment, with at least a car kit, a reflective vest and a warning triangle at your fingertips. Before traveling abroad, which is what many Czech families expect at this time, it is good to know about the possible differences in the countries you are planning to visit. The biggest "bacon" on the pages of the Central Automobile Club (UAMK) is discussed in short.
For example, in Bulgaria, Italy, Slovenia or Slovakia, a reflective vest is mandatory for all passengers who emerge from the car during an emergency. The same applies in France, where non-compliance is subject to a penalty of up to € 750 (almost £ 20,000), and in Portugal only for vehicles registered outside the country. There are two warning triangles in Croatia, in Estonia, Greece or Poland you will not miss a fire extinguisher.
