The fact that the three Romanians were caught in the Pegasus was in early October at Salar de Uyuni, the largest salt mine in the world, left behind by the erosion of a lake more than 40000 years ago. After crossing it, the three moved to Chile through volcanoes, geysers and other salt fields at an average altitude of 3500 m.

Here they went through the desert, being no settlements. And they have subjected to the ultimate quality test Pegas bikes, through salt, sand and rough roads. Then they crossed Chile and the Atacama Desert to the Pacific Ocean, thus completing the first part of the expedition.

The second part began on the shore of the Ocean, where the three men climbed Pegas from the ocean to over 6,000 m altitude on the slopes of the world's highest volcano, Ojos Del Salado (6893 m).

The Atacama Desert in South America is the most arid place on the planet, where weather stations have not experienced any rainfall for more than 10 years. It is basically lifeless and has the highest temperature differences - where the day is 30 degrees and the night is below zero degrees. The lack of vegetation, water and human settlements takes you to the moon landscapes. Thus, cycling the Atacama desert and climbing from the Pacific Ocean up to 5500 m altitude on the slopes of the world's highest volcano, Ojos Del Salado, was a great success for the group of Romanian fighters. And also a test passed briskly by Pegas' Drumeţ bicycles.

The three have so far captured Mont Blanc, Kilimanjaro and Ebrus peak and have proposed to climb the highest peak of each continent (7 peaks in 7 continents).

"Dress up for 4 spoke" is the excuse Pegas and Braiconf are giving to cyclists and style lovers. The two traditional Romanian brands join and launch a collection of functional bicycle shirts, combining the modern and nonconformist design of Pegas' personality with the remarkable quality of the Braiconf branded fabric and craftsmanship. Thus, the exclusive "Dress up 4-spoke" collection proposes three models of 100% cotton unisex shirts.

Created shirts are a mix of utility and style because they have an avant-garde design, denim fabric, modern cut, functional features and are just as comfortable as any other non-cycling shirts. For functionality, some of the models have back pockets in the style of professional cycling jackets that help you carry your wallet, keys, sunglasses or anything else that's important to you day by day.

"Especially for bicycle experiences and beyond, we thought the reflective bands will help you become more visible and safer in the urban jungle. I put reflective strips on the sleeve's joint with the shoulder and if you lift the back of the shirt over the lumbar area, two other reflective bands will come out, "explains Andrei Botescu, founder of the Pegas Workshops.

Cycling shirts have been designed to perfectly blend the look of style of a functional-looking shirt. The shirt is especially versatile and can also be worn in the style of a backpack: on the inside, two intersecting braces, so you can transform your shirt into a comfortable and stylish accessory, especially if the weather is playing. And this shirts also made of reflective fabric, which can improve your visibility at night.

A limited series of 300 shirts has been created in the Braila factory, and next year we will transform the capsule collection into a series, with the expectation of selling over 10,000 shirts. The prices for the collection shirts are 297 RON and 327 RON and you can find them in Pegas and Braiconf stores in Bucharest and Constanta, Brasov, Timisoara, Cluj, Braila and Galati.

The Pegas project was born out of passion for cycling, urban identity and the desire to build a strong Romanian brand. Besides nostalgia, Pegas invests in research and development of new products with a functional design and a competitive price. So far, over 13,000 bikes from the new Pegas collections have arrived to customers in the country and in Europe.

Four years after the re-launch of the most popular bicycles from the 1970s and 1980s, Pegas Workshops brought 15 new models specifically designed for the whole family. In October 2015, the Pegas project moved to a higher level by attracting a large investor. Through partnership with Network One Distribution, the Pegas brand will accelerate its development nationwide and internationally. Over the next three years, Pegas Workshops are targeting a tenfold increase in the volume of bicycles, up to 25,000 pieces annually and a turnover of 5 million Euros.
