A southwestern Ontario police officer in reflective safety vest is charged with dangerous driving causing bodily harm.
The charges against the officer Jamie Porto Provincial Police (OPP) in Lakeshore were filed by the Provincial Special Investigations Unit.
They relate to an incident on 24 October.
The accused was then driving a police car with reflective tapes on the back on Secondary Highway 42 in St-Joachim, when he collided with another vehicle. The driver of the vehicle, a man of 20, was seriously injured.
The Porto agent must appear in court at Windsor on 22 January.
