The mayor of the Mariño municipality, Francisco González, through the City Council's Public Services Division, executes a plan for the adhesion of reflective tapes to the electric lighting poles in Juan Bautista Arismendi, Circunvalación Norte avenues, located in the marine geography, noted a press release.
"We are monitoring and controlling situations that are at first glance, but also those that have been denounced by the community, for this reason, we are visiting and observing the different road arteries of the municipality to deal with risk factors with their solutions and in this way; guaranteeing both vehicular and pedestrian safety in this jurisdiction", declared the First Authority of the municipality.
The Mayor of Mariño also informed that the planned advances for the reinforcement of road safety have been made in the sections that go from the elevated section of the Macho Muerto sector to the Nueva Cádiz service station, of the Nueva Esparta stadium in Guatamare and Helios. Diana, and from the traffic light located at the entrance to the Achípano community to the Los Robles vial, and then progressively other spaces will be covered that warrant intervention.
González considered that the progress and displacement in the execution of improvement of the conditions for road safety are Bolívar avenues, Francisco Esteban Gómez, Rómulo Betancourt, Raúl Leoni, among others.
In the same context, González described that in the aforementioned sections the reflective tape was placed at the base of the posts, at a height of 1.10 meters so that it occupies the area of greatest visibility for the driver.
The public servant who is carrying out the demarcations of the pedestrian crossing and curbs in the emblematic Santiago Mariño avenue also detailed, in the context of the Venezuela Bella Mission that refers to the beautification of cities and public spaces.
