"We export 40% of our production outside Europe"
In the early 1970s, Sot Nor Industry AS was established to help the northern textile industry. At the time, for example, we made pockets for jeans pants! But our growth has come to the end of the 1980s the developments we have made with the Norwegian reflective clothing and reflective tape manufacturer Hilly Hansen. We have designed fully waterproof seam systems to make clothing while both waterproof and breathable. The Lox range was born! From this knowledge, we then developed reflective tape in the same way, equip the work clothes, without damaging in any way whatsoever their other performances, including climate. Today, the company - which has remained family - manufactures all its products in Europe - especially in Sweden and some in Poland. In these countries, the atmosphere is somewhat damp, ensuring unmatched performance in our products.
What are your markets?
In terms of seam sealed, while we work for both casual wear manufacturers (track, etc ..) and that of professional clothing. Our reflective strips on the other hand are totally dedicated to the professional sector: construction and civil, against fire, industry, etc. Geographically, we export 80% of our production outside Scandinavia and 40% outside Europe, mainly in China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, etc ... Because our products are synonymous with quality. We have a sales office in France, in Strasbourg in recent years.
What new products will you launch this year?
The Lox range already has a dozen product families. We are continuously improving their performance; thus, we will present the new Lox 9901, a reflective strip that will be even more difficult to tear .Les environmental performance of this product and its elasticity, have also increased. Also new flame retardant reflective tape is for firefighters. Finally, we are working increasingly in conjunction with the laundry industry, who maintains a growing number of professional clothing. We develop such bands and seams that support to pass in drying tunnels where temperatures are very high.
