The unscrupulous driver on Tuesday, January 22, knocked down a 38-year-old woman at the pedestrian crossing, who he didn't prefer. The accident occurred in Machova Street in Benesov in the Central Bohemian Region near bus stops.
"After the conflict, the woman should have fallen on the bonnet and then be pushed forward for a while. Then she fell on the sidewalk, where she remained lying," Stulikova said.
The driver did not stop for a while and continued driving in the direction of Týnec nad Sázavou. He left the woman on the ground and did not give her first aid.
"She then sought medical treatment in the Benešov hospital. Police officers learned about the case," Stulíková added.
The police are asking the public for help and cooperation in the search for this unknown driver. "Any information that might help to clarify the circumstances of this event will be received by the police officers of the Benešov Traffic Inspectorate at 974 871 261, or by the operators on the emergency call line 158. Thank you," added Stulíková.
In the Benešov region, the number of pedestrians has been increasing. There have been six since the beginning of the year. In most cases, drivers overlook pedestrians because they are not visible. Pedestrians are often unruly or inattentive. Also important are the reflective tape elements that people should wear not only outside the village but also in the city.
