A driver drove a woman. She was slightly injured. The accident cause was under the influence of alcohol.
On Friday evening, shortly before 18.30 clocks, a car driver overlooked three women who crossed the street on the pedestrian crossing without wearing any reflective materials. One of the women was hit by the car and suffered abrasions and bruises. Because the 59-year-old crashed in the fall against another woman, this also came to the case. The 62-year-old suffered a broken arm. The third wife escaped with horror.
In the fallible handlebars, the forces detected alcoholic symptoms. The prosecution ordered a blood test at the hospital. The 62-year-old admitted having consumed alcohol. The driver's license was taken from him for the attention of the administrative authority (Road Traffic Office).
Make yourself visible
At dawn and at night, the risk of accidents is three times higher than during the day. At nocturnal rain, snow or backlight, it rises to ten times. The police in Zug reminds of suitable measures for good visibility of pedestrians and cyclists, like wearing reflective vests. This makes them easier to recognize for the car drivers. Please note the following tips:
Wear light or reflective clothing or accessories as a pedestrian or on a bicycle.
Before leaving, check the lights on your car or bike.
Fog lights may only be switched on if the visibility is considerably restricted due to fog, snow or heavy rain.
