A master class on making reflective flickers for students of the Dolgoderevenskaya school of the Sosnovsky district of the Chelyabinsk region was held in the district House of Culture.
Since the beginning of the year, 32 accidents involving pedestrians have been registered on the territory of the Sosnovsky district, in which 8 people died and 26 were injured of varying severity. Children were injured in eight road accidents.
With the onset of winter, daylight hours decrease, which makes pedestrians even less visible on the roads. For the driver to notice the pedestrian in advance and have time to take the necessary action, it is important to have reflective elements on his clothes.
To prevent the reduction of the number of road accidents involving children-pedestrians, the annual preventive action "Become more noticeable" continues. Traffic police inspectors visit educational institutions of the Sosnovsky District not only with conversations on traffic rules but also with creative activities.
Traffic safety propaganda inspector Liya Yusupova held a master class on making self-reflective elements. During the event, a preventive conversation was held with children, explaining the importance of having reflective flickers on outerwear with a visual demonstration of their action.
I would like to remind you of paragraph 2.3.4 of the Road Traffic Regulations, which obliges the driver to wear a reflective vest when stopping outside settlements in poor visibility. The use of reflective elements reduces the risk of vehicles hitting pedestrians by 6.5 times.
