The Slovak mandatory equipment of the vehicle differs from ours only in detail. Even so, it is appropriate to be in the picture with what is in the Slovak one. It is known that in Slovakia a person can get a hefty fine for violating or forgetting some element of mandatory equipment.
It doesn't matter if you are going to Slovakia on holiday or just passing through. In both cases, it is necessary to have a car equipped with mandatory equipment - especially our Czech one. But if you are interested in what is the mandatory equipment in Slovakia, then read on.
Car seat
If there is a child in the car, he must have a car seat or a seat cushion to his weight and height. The obligation to transport a child in this way applies up to a height of 150 centimeters and 36 kilograms. Likewise, children under the age of 12 are not allowed to sit in the front passenger seat.
Warning triangle
He must carry all vehicles and machines with more than two wheels. As soon as a collision or an emergency occurs on the road, the driver may use warning lights before the driver places a warning triangle - but they cannot be used instead of a triangle. It is located 100 meters behind the car on the highway and 50 meters on another class road.
The law does not explicitly state that there must be a reflective vest in the vehicle, but it does state that anyone who gets out of the car during an emergency must wear a reflective vest. From this it is easy to conclude that there should be as many vests in the car as there are people in it (ideally) - one never knows whether he will have to leave the car in an emergency alone or with others. If you do not have a vest, there is a fine of 50 to 150 euros, depending on the severity.
First aid kit
This is of course mandatory.
Winter equipment
In Slovakia, winter tires for passenger cars are mandatory in cases where there is a continuous layer of snow or ice on the road. As for trucks, they must have winter tires from November 15 to March 31 - whether there is snow or not. Also, winter tires must have a minimum tread depth of 3 millimeters.
Something extra:
Don't forget that in Slovakia there is zero-tolerance for alcohol behind the wheel. Rates for violations are relatively high and strict - if the police officer measures you within 0.1 ‰, you will be fined up to 800 euros and the driver's license will be revoked for three years. It is also forbidden to use radar detectors (so-called anti radars ) in Slovakia.
Seat belts (not required but are also important)
The obligation to fasten applies to everyone in the vehicle. If someone does not consciously or unconsciously buckle up, then there is a risk of a fine of up to 120 euros. And as such a bonus, there is also a risk of a trip out of the windshield during a possible crash.
