At times, even a seemingly minor overlook and failure to comply with the rules can significantly endanger traffic safety.
This was also the case in the case recently recorded on the main road from Podgorica to Cetinje, just after leaving the capital.
The driver of the car in the photo, after his vehicle had malfunctioned, left the car partly on the roadway, which was justified in some ways because there was no space on the side.
However, after that, he made a mistake that significantly increased the risk of an accident. On a very dangerous part of the road, in a curve, he did not properly inform other drivers that they were encountering an obstacle.
It looks like he had the best intentions of doing it because he used a safety triangle. But in doing so, he mounted it on a vehicle where he had no purpose. High-speed riders will realize late that there is an obstacle on the roadway, so the possibility of an incident is high.
As a rule, the safety triangle is placed fifty meters behind the vehicle, that is, at a sufficient distance for drivers to notice in time that there is a danger.
So we did it for him. However, in the rush to prevent the incident as soon as possible, we are making a mistake here as well. When leaving the car on the roadway, the use of a reflective vest is mandatory.
We place the safety triangle in the proper place and the security situation changes immediately. All drivers arriving at a critical location are warned on time, so the risk of an accident is minimized.
