A difficult morning on Wednesday, they had drivers on Gdansk roads. Everything through frost and glaze, which appeared locally, but in many places. Until hours In the morning, over 40 trucks left for Gdansk to salivate the street. The police are calling for careful driving.

- At 4 o'clock in the morning, 20 cars moved to mitigate the effects of winter - informs Magdalena Kilimanjaro, press spokeswoman for the Gdansk Road and Green Board. - At sixth force, they were increased by another 20 trucks. The situation on the basic road system was quite quickly mastered. On communal roads, i.e. on the so-called Complementary road system, there were local slippery. There are a total of 1 thousand kilometers of streets in Gdansk. The basic layout is 580 kilometers and it is there that the contractors first take action. Municipal, district and housing roads have to wait their turn.

On the Teri-City beltway, difficult road conditions have become the reason for traffic jams. The city of Gdansk had no influence on the situation there - it is a route serviced by the state General Directorate of Roads and Motorways.

According to the police, the morning breaks were in Gdansk 11, not much more than the day before (9).

- We call for careful driving - says asp. Karina Kamikaze, press officer of the Commander of the Municipal Police in Gdansk. - The road at this time of year can be particularly tricky. There is no snow and the asphalt is black, and it is enough that in one place a "glass" will be formed and can be serious trouble.

GDANSK. POLICYANTS APPLY FOR CONSIDERATION ON THE ROAD

The first frosts and snowfalls are a difficult time for all road users. Changing the aura forces a change in the technique of driving a vehicle - unfortunately, many drivers forget about it. Police officers appeal for caution and common sense. A reminder. Incorrect speed to the conditions on the road may be the cause of the tragedy.

The current aura makes the conditions on the road difficult and very changeable, treacherous and dangerous for both drivers and pedestrians. That's why police officers appeal to everyone, both drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians, to exercise special caution and prudence.

Many drivers seem to think that the roadway is black and dry. Meanwhile, roadways can already be frozen, and therefore slippery, and in such situations, the wheels easily lose their grip. Remember that in many different places the surface of roads combined with rainfall, lying on the roads with leaves, extends the braking distance of the vehicle, in extreme cases, the driver may slip and not control the car. Overtaking in such conditions, passing, cornering can be very dangerous. Drivers should remember to navigate the road with lights on and observe the speed limits, and when weather conditions are worse, to slow down according to the principle that slower means safer. We appeal not to charge, think or anticipate threats.

You should pay particular attention to the depressions of the terrain, on hills, near forests and water reservoirs - the road can be particularly slippery there. Exercise extreme caution near pedestrian crossings. Also, be careful when commuting to them. If the pedestrian enters the passage, the driver may not slow down.

A special appeal is also directed to pedestrians not to go directly in front of an oncoming vehicle. Even at the pedestrian crossing, make sure that the driver can slow down. Of course, the pedestrian takes precedence over the passage, but here the principle of limited trust is applicable.

Every pedestrian and cyclist should also remember about their safety and take care to be visible. A reflective vest, key chain, headband or even a flashlight will make it easier to see the oncoming driver when moving on a poorly lit road.

We would like to remind you that all pedestrians who move along dusk outside the built-up area must have a reflector placed in a visible way for the drivers. The lack of reflective material is threatened by a fine.

Although traffic regulations do not impose an obligation to use reflective vests and reflective tapes in the built-up area, they, to a large extent, improve visibility. They give drivers valuable time to take the right response - often saving lives and health.
