There was the XVII, annual relay race for the Cup of the Mayor of the City and Commune of Wieliczka on the occasion of the National Education Commission Day organized by the Primary School named after Queen Jadwiga.
Pupils from six schools took part in the competition. This year the run was special - reflective. School Queen Jadwiga takes part in the action organized by the Provincial Police Headquarters in Krakow: "Reflective School", which aims to promote the safe movement on the road, encouraging to wear reflective vests, giving away reflective materials. Students of SP ran in reflective vests, while the other participants were equipped with reflective bands.
After the race, all "runners" and students of SP took part in the picnic. Then students of the school met with representatives of the District Police Headquarters in Wieliczka, who instructed them how to safely navigate the road and give away all reflective pendants.
Primary School actively participates in the "Reflective School" competition. So far, many actions have been carried out to promote pedestrian safety, among others: giving away glares to residents, carrying seniors across the road, cycling in reflective clothing, reflective disco, reflective lessons, safety awareness contest or art contest.
