The nationwide "We see?" Campaign, which is responsible for the Road Safety (BESIP), will take place in all regions of the Republic and has a single goal. They want to teach pedestrians to use reflexive elements. Where do you find police officers giving information and reflective tapes or bags for free? We have an overview for you.
Road Safety (BESIP) launched a major "Do We See?" Campaign, which aims is to teach pedestrians to use reflexive elements. In the streets of cities, you will come across police officers who give out reflex bags, tapes, stickers or safety vests.
"Every year there are over 700 people killed on our roads, and the pedestrians who are targeting the campaign are one of the most vulnerable groups, with every seventh person dying in a road accident as a pedestrian, eight out of the village. "Minister of Transport Dan said at a press conference.
The low visibility of pedestrians and cyclists, especially in the evening, forced the Ministry of Transport to act on the change of laws. A new amendment will therefore come into force in mid-February, which requires pedestrians to wear reflective elements in reduced visibility. However, the first warning is: the headlamp or flashlight does not replace these elements!
The police spokesperson, in cooperation with the transport inspectorate, decides when the security action will take place in individual territorial departments. Events usually take place in spring and autumn, when pedestrian visibility is the worst in terms of weather and faster onset of darkness.
