The walking bus is a bus walk that takes the children to school to promote a habit, which can make the city more livable, less polluted and dangerous. Like a real bus, the walking bus has a departure station, various stations along the route, an arrival station and timetables to be met; like any transportation service that respects, collects other small passengers, which are added along the way and go to school, safely, without polluting and experiencing every day the healthy and beneficial easiest and most effective motor action: walking.
The project, promoted by the environment and the educational direction of the 2nd Circle, is innovative and promotional action that actively involves children, educating them and encouraging them to sustainable mobility, giving him the ability to do physical exercise promoting autonomy in their daily commute, helping them to gain "pedestrian skills" and encouraging socialization among peers.
The pupils of the primary school of the new School Center of Villa marina, equipped with reflective vest, are driven by drivers, controllers and volunteers along three routes one-way, to make the shortest and safest route to school starting from the fixed terminal, respecting 'fixed time.
The red line has the square as the terminus of the railway station; the route continues, with two intermediate stops, winding and Via Marina Coast. The yellow line of hand by the underpass via Leone, while the green line, the shortest, from the street Aries.
Each walking bus is driven by two or more adults "drivers" and "controllers". Children using the walking bus, when about sixty, you do find the stop for them more comfortable, and register with the "controllers".
