"On the 2WD side, we keep the obligation for 2WD drivers to have a fluorescent vest (without permanent wear) in the same way as motorists and subject to a reduction in the previously disproportionate sanction," comments the Federation. French Angry Motorcyclists (FFMC), member of the CNSR 2-wheelers committee. "The FFMC remains opposed to this measure whose effectiveness remains indemonstrable by the Direction of the safety and the road traffic (DSCR) in term of the gains of lives".

These CNSR proposals must now be translated into a regulatory text by the government. The Minister of the Interior, present June 21 in Paris, did not give a date for a future interdepartmental committee on road safety. For now, wearing the yellow vest in the bike is not mandatory.
