"On the 2WD side, we keep the obligation for 2WD drivers to have a fluorescent vest (without permanent wear) in the same way as motorists and subject to a reduction in the previously disproportionate sanction," comments the Federation. French Angry Motorcyclists (FFMC), member of the CNSR 2-wheelers committee. "The FFMC remains opposed to this measure whose effectiveness remains indemonstrable by the Direction of the safety and the road traffic (DSCR) in term of the gains of lives".

That says, between the compulsory safety vest worn permanently, which could fall on us in 2011, which finally became an armband, then was repealed at the end of 2012, the CNSR returned to a simple measure of equity between road users (detention for harbor if needed).

"With this measure and the harmonization of the sizes of the 4 sizes of existing license plates (for cycles, motorcycles and tricycles), on a median size, the one mostly used today on motorcycles, the CNSR finally turns the page of the Inter-ministerial Council for Road Safety (IRB) of May 2011 that had brought against him all the associations of road users, "says the FFMC.

"The infrastructure file, which is crucial for fragile users, has remained static and only the demand for the start of the experimentation of the legalization of traffic between the queues by motorcycles and scooters seems to show a beginning of progress, still shy, taking into account the specificities of 2WD ", say the Bikers angry.

"This legalization under conditions would teach and supervise this practice, otherwise little accident. Be that as it may, and after these figures imposed by the roadmap of the CNSR, the FFMC will continue, stubbornly, to participate and defend, without corporatism but with tenacity, the place of the 2WM in the oh-so current questions of mobility ".

These CNSR proposals must now be translated into a regulatory text by the government. The Minister of the Interior, present June 21 in Paris, did not give a date for a future interdepartmental committee on road safety. For now, wearing the yellow vest in the bike is not mandatory.
